Community members in Laikipia County joined hands to commemorate Global Hand Washing Day, 15th October 2025 at Kinamba town, Githaga Ward of Laikipia West Sub County, an annual event serving as a reminder of the vital role hand hygiene plays in protecting health and preventing diseases.
The event was organized by the County Government of Laikipia-Kenya supported by Cross Catholic Outreach (CCO) through Caritas Nyahururu under Diocese of Nyahururu WASH program. The celebration brought together community members, health care professionals, and local administration to promote the practice of hand washing with soap as a simple, effective, and lifesaving habit through demonstrations and awareness sessions where participants shared knowledge on the benefits of proper hand hygiene.
