Farmers from Mochongoi Division of Baringo County and Olmoran Ward of Laikipia County participated in routine feed formulation training under the improved chicken value chain in CATAFs project. The training enhances farmers’ understanding of proper feed rationing and the use of locally available materials to produce affordable livestock feeds, thereby reducing the cost of rearing. The initiative aims to improve the nutritional value of poultry products, strengthen household economies, and provide alternatives at household feeding and livelihood strategy in the event of agricultural failure. The project is made possible through the support of Fastenaktion, in collaboration with Act 4 Change, and in partnership with Caritas Catholic Diocese of Nyahururu.
